A Community Boat Club on the Kennet & Avon Canal

Burghfield Island Boat Club is a community run boating club which provides private, non-residential moorings on the Kennet and Avon Canal.

Located close to Reading and the River Thames, the island hosts around 50 moorings with facilities including water points, access to electrics, BBQ, and pump-out facilities.

The island has a large clubhouse with a well equipped kitchen which provides space for the club’s social events, as well as a small library where members can swap and share books, magazines, and DVDs.

The Club is a member of the Association of Waterways Cruising Clubs (AWCC) which allows members to moor at other affiliated AWCC sites, whilst providing safe mornings for other AWCC members.
